Colocation-Ready Rack Setup in Rawalpindi
Moving your servers to a data center? We assemble and test the rack in our workshop, label every cable and port, and hand it over ready to be rolled in, so your time in the data hall is hours, not days.
Package WL RackReady

A colocation-ready rack is built, labelled and tested before it leaves our workshop, so the day at the data center is short and uneventful.
What this is, and what it is not
We do not sell colocation space. Your provider does that. What we do is the work in between: getting your equipment into a state where it can be moved to the data center, switched on and left alone. If you have ever watched a team spend a whole night in a cold data hall with a bag of cables and a printed spreadsheet, you will see the point.
What happens in our workshop
We rack the servers, storage and switches in a cabinet that matches the provider's size and power limits, which we ask them for first. Equipment goes in with rails and blanking panels, heavy things low. Power is split across two feeds so one failing circuit does not take the whole rack down. Network cables are the right length, colour-coded and labelled at both ends. Every port is written on a sheet that matches the label, and every device is tested with the cabinet powered on.
Then we pack it, either for transport as a complete rack or as separate units with the cabling kept in order. Which of these is safer depends on the rack and the road, and we will say which we would choose.
At the data center
We can be there when it is installed, or you can use the provider's remote hands for the final connections with our diagram in hand. Either way you arrive with a rack that has been powered up before, a network diagram, a list of serial numbers and a short run sheet: what to connect first, what to check, and who to call if a light is the wrong colour.
- Dual-feed power distribution and tidy cable management,
- patch panels and labelled ports on both sides,
- console access so you can fix a machine without a trip,
- an asset list with serial numbers and warranty dates,
- a network diagram and a one-page run sheet.
Before you choose a provider
Ask about power per rack (and what happens when you go over it), cooling, cross-connect and internet options, access hours and who can walk in. A cheap rack with a weak power limit costs more once your servers do not fit. We are glad to go through a quote with you and ask the questions you might forget.
If you would rather run the equipment yourself, see server room setup. For what goes on the servers, see virtualization, storage and backup, and for the links in and out, backup internet.
