Smart Visitor & Parking Management in Rawalpindi
Who came in, who they came to see, and whose car is parked where. We put QR visitor passes, boom barriers and RFID tags on one system, so the guard stops writing in a register and the gate stops being a queue.
Package GateIQ

Good parking management starts at the gate: who comes in, who they are visiting, and where the car goes. Here is how we set that up without turning the gate into a queue.
The gate is where most problems start
A guard with a paper register, three cars waiting and a visitor who cannot remember who he is meeting. Every office block, plaza and housing society knows this scene. It is slow, the register is unreadable the next day, and nobody can answer a simple question like "who visited the third floor last Tuesday?"
Visitors with a QR pass
The person being visited registers the guest in advance, usually from a phone, and the guest gets a QR code by message. At the gate the guard scans it, the system shows the name, the host and the time window, and the visitor walks or drives in. Unexpected visitors are registered at the desk in a few seconds, with a photo if you want one. Everything is stored, searchable, and easy to print when someone asks.
Barriers and vehicle tags
For cars we use boom barriers. Residents and staff get a long-range RFID tag for the windscreen, so the barrier lifts as they approach without them stopping to wind the window down. Visitors can get a temporary tag or a ticket, and paid parking is possible if you charge for it. If you add number-plate cameras later, the same system can use them as a second check, see video analytics and ANPR.
Barriers need proper safety. We fit sensors and loops so the arm cannot come down on a car, and we leave a manual release for the day the power fails. With load-shedding as common as it is here, the barrier and the controller get their own small battery so the gate keeps working.
Where it works best
Office towers, plazas, hospitals, factories with a lot of contractors, schools at pick-up time and housing societies with hundreds of vehicles. In a small office with ten visitors a week, you probably need only the QR pass and not the barrier, and we will say so.
The weakest link is never the technology. It is the habit: does the guard actually scan every visitor? We spend time with the gate staff on the first day, and we choose a screen layout that is simple enough to use in the rain.
- Visitor pre-registration and QR passes,
- desk registration with a photo or ID scan,
- boom barriers with safety sensors and battery backup,
- RFID tags for residents and staff, with a block list,
- reports by day, host or vehicle.
The system works with the doors and turnstiles in our access control service, and with the cameras covered in CCTV installation. For company vehicles that come and go all day, see fleet GPS tracking.
Products for this job: boom barriers, RFID vehicle tags and readers and visitor management terminals.
