Description
Fire suppression systems of this kind put out a fire with a gas instead of water, which is why they are used in server rooms, electrical rooms and archives. The room fills with the agent, the fire stops, and the equipment stays dry.

Worth knowing
The cylinders are only half the system, because the room has to hold the gas long enough to work. Gaps around doors and cables are the usual reason a system fails its test, and we seal them before we call the job done. After a discharge the cylinders must be refilled, so we agree the refill cost and turnaround up front.
